What is happening?

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE COUNCIL

THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO MAKE

(Stocklake, Aylesbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Stocklake for approx. 63M. Alternative route: Douglas Rd, Bierton Rd, Park St, Stocklake and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Installation of a new bellmouth access works commence on 29 August 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 29 August 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Westbrook End, Newton Longville) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Westbrook End for approx. 61M. Alternative route: Westbrook End, Whaddon Rd, Drayton Rd and vice versa. The closure is required whilst National Grid tree trimming commences on 21 August 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 21 August 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Cheddington Road, Marsworth) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Cheddington Road for approx. 62M. Alternative route: Pitstone Road, High Street, Mentmore Road, Long Marston Road, Cheddington Lane, Tring Road, Wingrave Road, Lower Icknield Way, Cheddington Road and vice versa. The closure is required whilst a boundary box repair commences on 26 August 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 26 August 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Bell Walk, Winslow) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Bell Walk for approx. 23M. The closure is required whilst a stop tap replacement commences on 8 September 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 8 September 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(High Street, Burcott) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in High Street for approx. 61M. Alternative route: High Street, Soulbury Road and vice versa. The closure is required whilst underground service works commence on 22 September 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 22 September 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Winchendon Road, Ashendon) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Winchendon Road for approx. 31M. Alternative route: Winchendon Road, Wotton Road, Ashendon Road, Dorton, Dorton Hill, Dorton Road, Brill Road, Thame Road, Chilton Road, Easington Terrace, Chearsley Road, Crendon Road, Winchendon Ridge Road and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Thames Water works commence on 23 August 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 23 August 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.42 (PART) PARISH OF WENDOVER) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2024 On 5 August 2025, Buckinghamshire Council confirmed the above Order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A (2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the public footpath running from SP89942-07512 NE for 63M to SP89989-07557 then E for 107M to SP90096-07561 as shown by a bold continuous line on the Order map, to a line running from SP89942-07512 ENE for 11M to SP89953-07516 then ENE for 149M to SP90096-07561 as shown by a bold broken line on the Order map and having a width of 3M throughout and a pedestrian gate (BS5709) at SP89953-07516. Full details of the Order are available at Reception, Buckinghamshire Council, Walton Street Offices, Walton Street, Aylesbury, HP20 1UA and at Wendover Community Library during normal opening hours. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased from the Council at a cost of £5.00 by writing to the Definitive Map and Highway Searches Team, 6th Floor, Buckinghamshire Council, Walton Street Offices, Walton Street, Aylesbury, HP20 1UA or email row@buckinghamshire. gov.uk. The Order came into force on 12 August 2025, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 13 August 2025, make an application to the High Court.
