What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14

THE COUNTY OF DEVON (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION) (ROAD FROM BUTTS ROAD TO GOSFORD ROAD ALL THE WAY UP NORTH EAST TO ROAD THROUGH ALFINGTON [B3177], OTTERY ST MARY & ALFINGTON) ORDER 2025

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. From 26/8/25 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 1/9/25. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads. Roads affected:

ROAD FROM BUTTS ROAD TO GOSFORD ROAD ALL THE WAY UP NORTH EAST TO ROAD THROUGH ALFINGTON [B3177], OTTERY ST MARY & ALFINGTON

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via – B3177, B3174, ROAD FROM THE OLD DEVON SMITHY TO STRAIGHTWAY HEAD, ROAD FROM STRAIGHTWAY HEAD TO BIRDCAGE BRIDGE, BIRDCAGE LANE, ROAD THROUGH FAIRMILE, B3177, & VICE VERSA.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: DEVON HIGHWAYS - PATCHING WORKS.
