NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION
ACT 1984 – Towers Road, Poynton with Worth
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic The alternative route will be via London Road North, London Road South, Park Lane, Towers Road and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Monday 1 September 2025 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 14 November 2025.

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Pickford Street, Macclesfield – From the Junction of Sunderland Street to the Junction of George Street.
Townley Street, Macclesfield – From the Junction of Sunderland Street to the Junction of George Street.

NOTICE OF MAKING – (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Street Parking Places) (Various Roads) (Consolidation) Order 2022 (Amendment No. 37) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that on 7 August 2025 Cheshire East Borough Council made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 38, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53 and 61, and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers and in accordance with its duty under Section 122 of the said Act.
1. The effect of the Order, which will come into operation on 8 September 2025, will be to:
a) Amend the Cheshire East Borough Council (Prohibition and restriction of Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Street Parking Places) (Various Roads) (Consolidation) Order 2022 by introducing the restrictions as outlined in Schedule 1 below and by replacing Map Tile No. BE153 rev0 with BE153 rev1 in the Consolidation Order schedules.

Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or any requirement of the Act or an instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.

Public Footpath No. 60 (Part) Parish of Kettleshulme and Lyme Handley (formally known as Public Footpath No. 28 (Part) Parish of Lyme Handley) and Public Footpath No. 19 (Part) Parish of Disley
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 (1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, that the Cheshire East Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the following:
That length of Public Footpath No. 60 (Part) Parish of Kettleshulme and Lyme Handley (formally known as Public Footpath No. 28 (Part) Parish of Lyme Handley) commencing at OS grid reference (OSGR) SJ 9789 8314 which runs in a generally north easterly direction for approx. 9m to the junction with Footpath No. 19 in the Parish of Disley across Bollinhurst bridge at OSGR SJ 9790 8314.
That length of Public Footpath No. 19 (part) in the Parish of Disley runs in a generally north-northeasterly direction for approx. 8m to OSGR SJ 9791 8315.
The closure is necessary to prevent the likelihood of danger to the public posed by an unsafe bridge on the Public Right of Way.
The Order continues the restriction that came into force on 1st August 2025 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 6 months, or until the works required on or adjacent to the footpath are completed
An alternative route is available via wooden steps to the side of the bridge.
