Staffordshire - Temporary Closure For Pole Testing Works

What is happening?

STAFFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - (AS AMENDED)
PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 10 (PART) MAVESYN RIDWARE PARISH AND NO. 21 (PART) COLTON PARISH (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Staffordshire County Council, on the 4/2/25 made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along the following sections of public footpaths:

– Public Footpath No. 21 Colton Parish from its junction with the track located approximately 340 metres south east of its junction with Blithbury Road for approximately 743 metres in a generally south easterly direction to its junction with Public Footpath No. 10 Mavesyn Ridware Parish.

– Public Footpath No. 10 Mavesyn Ridware Parish from its junction with Public Footpath No. 21 Colton Parish for approximately 226 metres in a south easterly direction to its junction with Public Footpath No. 13 Mavesyn Ridware Parish.

The closure is required under the provision of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 Section 14 (1) (b) due to the construction of a solar farm.

An alternative permissive route will be available and will be sign posted on site.

A plan will be displayed on site to show the alternative route provided, length of path to be closed and the unaffected rights of way in the area.

This Order came into operation on 6/2/25 and has been extended for a further period of five months, until 6/1/25 or until the risk of danger to the public is over, whichever is the earlier. This extension has been given approval by the Secretary of State. If necessary, the Order may be extended for a further period.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council on 12/8/25 made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:

Church Rd, Chebsey. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=144063158. 

The Order will come into operation on 18/8/25 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed on the same day. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the pole testing works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Cotes Ln, Swynnerton. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/ ?tm=143674179. The Order will come into operation on 20/8/25 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed on the same day. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the pole renewal works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

The Order will come into operation on 20/8/25 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 22/8/25. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the long comm pipe works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

The Order will come into operation on 20/8/25 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 22/8/25. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the flow monitoring system installation works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Tunstall Rd, Tunstall. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=143692448. 

The Order will come into operation on 14/8/25 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed on the same day. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the BT pole renewal works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

B5027 Uttoxeter Rd, Stone. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/ ?tm=143682965. The Order will come into operation on 14/8/25 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 15/8/25. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the level crossing surface renewal works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Shebdon Rd, Shebdon. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/ ?tm=143573780. The Order will come into operation on 18/8/25 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed on the same day. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the overhead powerline vegetation clearance works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council on 26/8/25 made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit traffic along:

Bury Bank, Darlaston. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/ ?tm=143642663. The Order will come into operation on 1/9/25 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 18/9/25. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the gas main replacement works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:

A34 Queensville Bridge and A34 Lichfield Rd, Stafford. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=143201738. The Order will come into operation on 28/8/25 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 5/10/25. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the resurfacing works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Peacock Ln, Hanchurch. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/ ?tm=144313961. The Order will come into operation on 3/9/25 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 5/9/25. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the boundary box installation works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Ashflats Ln, Stafford. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/ ?tm=143596389. The Order will come into operation on 28/8/25 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed on the same day. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the tree trimming works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
