What is happening?

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

VARIOUS ROADS, THE BOROUGH OF CHARNWOOD) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2022 (VARIOUS ROADS, LOUGHBOROUGH) (AMENDMENT 5) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council has made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-

To revoke Restricted Waiting Restrictions on part of Windmill Road, Loughborough.

To impose No Waiting at Any Time Restrictions on parts of Atherstone Road, Beeches Road, Coltman Drive, Grasmere Road, Great Central Road, King George Avenue and Windmill Road, Loughborough
The Order will come into force on the eighteenth day of August 2025.

A copy of the Order and the relevant map is available for public inspection at County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester LE3 8RA. 

The Order can also be viewed online at https://www.leicestershire.gov.uk/ roads-and-travel/cars-and-parking/traffic-management-consultations 

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from the date of this Notice, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council has made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce:-

No Waiting at Any Time Restrictions on parts of Hermitage Road and Sharpley Road, Loughborough.

The Order will come into force on the eighteenth day of August 2025.

(SHELTHORPE ROAD, THE BOROUGH OF CHARNWOOD) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2022 (SHELTHORPE ROAD, LOUGHBOROUGH) (AMENDMENT 7) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council has made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce:-

No Waiting at Any Time Restrictions on part of Shelthorpe Road, Loughborough.

It having been proposed by notice dated 30th April 2025 that Waiting Restrictions be imposed on Woodthorpe Road and Shelthorpe Road, following consideration of objections all reference to Woodthorpe Road is removed from the order now made.

The Order will come into force on the eighteenth day of August 2025.
