Medway, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

LORDSWOOD LANE, CHATHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and associated works

Lordswood Lane, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic from the roundabout junction with Ambemarle Road and the junction with Badger Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Walderslade Woods, Fostington Way, Princes Avenue, Dargets Road and return.

This order will come into force on Friday, 15 August 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Friday, 15 August 2025 and are programmed for completion within 2 nights (8pm–6am). The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

CAPSTONE ROAD, GILLINGHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable carriageway resurfacing and other associated highway works to be carried out

Capstone Road, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Pear Tree Lane, Hempstead Road and Lidsing Road.

This order will come into force on Thursday, 28 August 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Thursday, 28 August 2025 and are programmed for completion within 1 day (7am–7pm). The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

BEACON HILL, CHATHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable essential to enable water supply works to be carried out supply repair works

Beacon Hill, Chatham – to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of Rhodes House. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Luton High Street, Upper Luton Road and Church Terrace (and vice versa).

This order will come into force on Wednesday, 17 September 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Wednesday, 17 September 2025 and are programmed for completion within 3 days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

ACADEMY DRIVE, GILLINGHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable UK Power Networks to carry out new electrical service connections.

Academy Drive, Gillingham – to be closed to all vehicular traffic outside property number 60.  Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. No alternative route is available. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.

This order will come into force on Monday, 15 September 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 15 September 2025 and are programmed for completion by Wednesday, 17 September 2025. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.
