What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 SECTION 14(1) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
TORRINGTON PARK N12
The BARNET LONDON BOROUGH COUNCIL HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that owing for the need to facilitate the relay of new water service pipes, they intend to make an Order which will close Torrington Park N12, between its junction with Friern Barnet Lane and No.175 Torrington Park, while works take place. The works will commence on Tuesday 26th August 2025 at 8am and is expected to last for 4 days.
The alternative route for motorists will be via Friern Barnet Lane, Buxted Road and Ashurst Road and vice versa.
Nothing in the above paragraphs shall apply to anything done with the permission of or at the direction of a Police Officer in uniform or other uniformed personnel authorised by the Commissioner of the Metropolis.
