Barnet, Temporary Footpath Closure Due To Demolition & Reconstruction Works
What is happening?
LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 SECTION 14(1) TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE
PROW FOOTPATH FROM CROMER ROAD TO LAWTON ROAD
The BARNET LONDON BOROUGH COUNCIL HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that owing for the need to facilitate the demolition of the existing footbridge and re-construction as a new footpath, they intend to make an Order which will:
(a) Temporarily introduce a footpath closure on the PROW footpath from Cromer Road, EN4 to Lawton Road, EN4 while the works take place.
A pedestrian diversion route will be put in place. The route is through Victoria Park, Victoria Road, East Barnet Road, Lytton Road, Bulwer Road, Shaftesbury Avenue, Cromer Road and vice versa.
The works will commence at 8.00am on Monday 1st September 2025 and is expected to last for 91 days.
Nothing in the above paragraphs shall apply to anything done with the permission of or at the direction of a Police Constable or a Civil Enforcement Officer in uniform. Further information may be obtained by contacting the NRSWA Team, London Borough of Barnet, via telephone on 020 8359 3555.
