((CIVIL ENFORCEMENT OF TRAFFIC CONTRAVENTIONS) (VARIOUS STREETS) (ROCHDALE TOWNSHIP) ORDER 2008) (AMENDMENT) (NO. 237) ORDER 2025
(A671) Whitworth Road and Adjoining Streets, Rochdale
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1), 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to amend the Borough of Rochdale (Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Rochdale Township) Order 2008, by inserting the following:-
Schedule No. 1.1
No Waiting at Any Time
Whitworth Road (A671), Healey Ward
n(i) the north-east side from a point 20 metres north-west of its northerly junction with Healey Lane to a point 90 metres south-east of its northerly junction with Healey Lane
n(ii) the north-east side from a point 15 metres north-west of its southerly junction with Healey Lane to a point 26 metres south-east of its junction with Crowshaw Drive
n(iii) the south-west side from a point 43 metres south-east of its junction with Jacob Bright Mews to a point 8 metres north-west of its junction with Jacob Bright Mews
Crowshaw Drive, Healey Ward
n(i) both sides from its junction with Whitworth Road for a distance of 15 metres in a north-easterly direction
Jacob Bright Mews, Healey Ward
n(i) both sides from its junction with Whitworth Road for a distance of 6 metres in a south-westerly direction
In addition to the provisions contained in the Borough of Rochdale ((Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Rochdale Township) Order 2008) (Amendment) (No. tbc) Order a 24-hour Bus Stop
Clearway will be created at the following location:-
Whitworth Road (A671), Healey Ward
n(i) the south-west side from a point 8 metres north-west of its junction with Jacob Bright Mews for a distance of 19 metres in a north-westerly direction
A copy of the proposed Order and plan showing the lengths of roads concerned, together with a Statement of Reasons for making the Order, may be viewed on the Council’s website www.rochdale.gov.uk/roads, or by phoning Highways on 0300 303 8879 to request a copy via post.
Objections to the proposed Order, stating the grounds on which they are made, must be made in writing and forwarded to trafficorders@rochdale.gov.uk or, alternatively, to Network Management, Floor 2, Number One Riverside, Smith Street, Rochdale, OL16 1XU to reach the Council on or before 3rd September 2025, quoting H60/1439.
