Disabled Persons’ Parking Places (No.1) Order 2025

South Lanarkshire Council propose to consider the introduction of a Traffic Regulation Order thereby introducing new regulated parking bays for the sole use of ‘blue’ badge holders on Melrose Place and Small Crescent, both Blantyre; Cairns Avenue, Cambuslang; Couthally Gardens and Lockhart Place, both Carnwath; Anniversary Avenue, Ash Avenue, Blenheim Avenue, Chalmers Drive, Craig Hill, Croft Road, Dawson Avenue, Hawthorn Terrace, Larch Drive, Larch Place, Laurel Drive, Le Froy Gardens, Lyttleton, Maple Terrace, Montreal Park, Owen Avenue, Plover Drive, Quarry Park, Rockhampton Avenue, Sandpiper Drive, Sandpiper Place, Saskatoon Place, Turnberry Place, Windward Road and Winnipeg Drive, all East Kilbride; Burnblea Street, Dee Terrace, Glencoe Place, Glenlee Street, Montrose Crescent, Neilsland Road, Raeburn Crescent, Shawburn Street and Townhill Road, all Hamilton; High Blantyre Road, High Blantyre; Covenant Crescent, Drygate Street, Firbank Avenue, MacMillan Street, Miller Street, Roselea Street, Watson Street and West Clyde Street, all Larkhall; Airlie Gardens, Bullionslaw Drive, Castlefern Road, Ewing Street, Glenside Drive, Kilmorie Drive, Rosslyn Avenue and Wallace Street, all Rutherglen. Full details of these proposals, which form the proposed South Lanarkshire Council (Disabled Persons’ Parking Places) (No.1) Order 2025, together with a plan and statement of reasons for proposing to make this Traffic Regulation Order, are available for inspection on the council’s website. 

Any person wishing to object to these proposals should send details of the grounds for objections in writing to the Head of Roads, Transportation and Fleet Services, Council Offices, Floor 6, Almada Street, Hamilton ML3 0AA, or by email to parking.unit@southlanarkshire.gov.uk, by Friday 12 September 2025.
