What is happening?

THE KINGSTON UPON HULL CITY COUNCIL

WILBERFORCE DRIVE (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order. 

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Wilberforce Drive, the right hand turn lane at the junction with George Street, Kingston upon Hull. 

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during inspection works of the utility pipework. The alternative route for vehicles will be signed. 

Access will be maintained for emergency services. The Order will come into effect 20th August 2025 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 8am and 4pm commencing 20th August 2025 until 1st September 2025.
