Prohibited right hand turn for commercial vehicles and Buses
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea intends to make an Order under The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Schedule 1 - Section 14 (1) (A) and all other enabling powers prohibiting vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below. Where necessary to maintain access for residents and occupiers one way or two-way traffic working may be imposed on affected roads.
ROAD CLOSED TO VEHICLES FOR UTILITY WORKS.
The right hand turn from Earl’s Court Road into Kensington High Street is to be prohibited for commercial vehicles and buses.
To be closed from 08.00hrs on Tuesday 26th August 2025 until 17.00hrs on Friday 29th August 2025, with a backup date of Monday 22nd September 2025 until Thursday 25th September 2025, or until the works are completed.
Diverted through traffic may use Kensington High Street, Holland Road, Addison Crescent, Addison Road, Kensington High Street.
Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency.
