What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (CARRINGTON ROAD, PORTWOOD) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) (REVOCATION) NOTICE 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Road Traffic Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 the effect of which will be to introduce No Waiting At Any Time : Carrington Road, Portwood - South Side - From the intersection of the south eastern kerb line of Offerton Street for a distance of 80 metres in a westerly direction. Carrington Road, Portwood - South Eastern Side - From the intersection of the south eastern kerb line of Werneth Street, for a distance of 43 metres in a south easterly direction.
Revoke No Waiting At Any Time : Carrington Road, Portwood - South Side - From the intersection of the western kerb line of Offerton Street, for a distance of 63 metres in a westerly direction.
Revoke No Waiting and No Loading Monday - Saturday 7.00am - 9.30pm & 4.00pm - 6.00pm : Carrington Road, Portwood - South Eastern Side - From the intersection of the eastern kerb line of Werneth Street, for a distance of 43 metres in a south easterly direction. Full details of these proposals are set out in the draft Order which, together with the map, may be obtained from Stockport Legal Services, Town Hall Stockport SK1 3XE.
