What is happening?
THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES WHITEHEAD’S GROVE
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea intends to make an Order under The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Schedule 1 - Section 14 (1) (A) and all other enabling powers prohibiting vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below. Where necessary to maintain access for residents and occupiers one way or two-way traffic working may be imposed on affected roads.
ROAD CLOSED TO VEHICLES FOR UTILITY WORKS.
Whiteheads Grove to be closed between the junctions of Sloane Avenue and Draycott Avenue.
To be closed from 08.00hrs on Friday 29th August 2025 until 18.00hrs on Sunday 5th September 2025, with a backup date of Thursday 23rd October until Friday 31st October 2025, or until the works are completed.
Diverted through traffic may use Sloane Avenue Draycott Place, Draycott Avenue, or Sloane Avenue Ixworth Place, Draycott Avenue, both in either direction.
Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency.
