What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
PART OF HALIFAX WAY, BARMBY MOOR
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing
any vehicle to proceed/from proceeding along part of
Halifax Way, Barmby Moor encompassing property Unit
1c Pocklington Industrial Estate commencing
1 September 2025 until 5 September 2025.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
part of Halifax Way, Barmby Moor excavation and
repair of sewer (external flooding, blocking line and
pipe broke access) works, to be carried out and
completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will
be completed within five days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the
Order is via Halifax Way, Lincoln Road, Hodsow Field
Roundabout, Hodsow Lane, A1079 Hodsow Lane
Roundabout and A1079 York Road, Allerthorpe CP,
Barmby Moor CP, Pocklington Provincial Ward, Wolds
Weighton Ward. The road will be closed to all through
traffic but access will be maintained for residents,
businesses, emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
The Order will commence 1 September 2025 and
continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen
months or until the works which it is proposed to
carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
