What is happening?

Ballymaconaghy Road,
Belfast

Notice is hereby given that the Department for Infrastructure
using its powers under Article 7 (1) and (3) of the Road
Traffic Regulation (Northern Ireland) Order 1997, has
temporarily prohibited the use, by traffic of:-
Ballymaconaghy Road, Belfast
from Laurelgrove Avenue to Knockbracken Road.
This road will be closed continuously from 00:01hrs on
Monday 18th August until 23:59hrs on Friday 7th
November 2025.
The closure is required for Ballymaconaghy Road Project.
Alternative route: Knockbracken Road – A24 Saintfield
Road – Cairnshill Road – Ballymaconaghy Road – A24
Saintfield Road.
