What is happening?
City Of Bristol
(Fernsteed Road, Bishopsworth, Bristol)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Use By Vehicles) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Fernsteed Road which extends from St. Nicholas Mews to the common boundary line of No.40 and No.42 Fernsteed Road.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 27th August 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 27th August 2025 and 29th August 2025).
Alternative Route: Fernsteed Road (part unaffected), Church Road, Highridge Road, Cutler Road, Fernsteed Road (part unaffected) and vice versa
(Durweston Walk Footpath, Hengrove, Bristol)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Use By Foot Passengers And Pedal Cycles) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to pedestrians and pedal cycles that length of Durweston Walk Footpath which extends from Sturminster Road to the common boundary line of No.33 and No.34 Durweston Walk.
Exemption will be provided in the Order for pedestrians requiring necessary access to premises situated on, adjacent to or accessible only from that closed length of footpath as specified above.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath and becomes operative from 26th August 2025 for a maximum period of six months.
However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 26th August 2025 and 1st October 2025).
Alternative Route: Sturminster Road, Durweston Walk Footpath (part unaffected) and vice versa

(Temporary Prohibition Of Use By Vehicles) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads and becomes operative from 19th August 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to be of between 1 and 7 days duration for each closure within the period between 19th August 2025 and 12th September 2025).
In addition, the closure of lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice which also provide part of an alternative route (as specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice) will be managed so as to allow the provision of the alternative routes whilst facilitating the works programme.

(Temporary Prohibition Of Use By Vehicles)
(Temporary Suspension Of Prohibition Of Entry) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is:-
1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice; and
2. to suspend, temporarily, when appropriate signs are covered, the prohibition of entry from Elmdale Road into Elton Road so as to allow access for works vehicles.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads and becomes operative from 12th August 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 12th August 2025 and 30th September 2025 – please see Schedule 2 below for more details).

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to pedestrians that length of Public Right of Way 290a (Hanover Lane) which extends from Gordon Road to Richmond Terrace.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the public right of way and becomes operative from 12th August 2025 for a maximum period of six months.
However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 5th September 2025 and 10th September 2025).
Alternative Route: Gordon Road, Queens Road, Richmond Lane, Richmond Terrace and vice versa
