Notice Declaring Part of Quakers Place, Standish to be a Highway Maintainable at Public Expense Following Street Works

The carriageway within the above-mentioned street and shown for reference purposes only shaded pink on the Plan referred to below is not, at the date of this Notice, a highway maintainable at public expense.

NOW Wigan Borough Council as the street works authority for the above-mentioned street declares that the street shall be a highway maintainable at public expense on the expiration of a period of one month from the date when this Notice is first displayed, that date being 12th September 2025. The street shall become a highway maintainable at the public expense unless within this period the owner of the street or, if more than one, the majority of the number of owners (joint owners counting as one) object by notice in writing to Wigan Borough Council as set out below.

A copy of this Notice and Plan are available upon request by emailing  s.jordan@hwigan.gov.uk or writing to the address set out below.

Any objections to this Notice should be sent to Wigan Borough Council, Resources Directorate, Legal Services, Town Hall, Library Street, Wigan, WN1 1YN in writing quoting reference RD/LS/SJ/1904192 no later than 11th September 2025 stating the grounds upon which the objection is made.
