CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(ZUC97, ZUC190, LONDON ROAD AND
BATTLESDEN AVENUE, MILTON BRYAN)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the following lengths of road: i. ZUC97 outside number 20 ii. ZUC190 the entire length of
iii. London Road from Speedwell Cottages to ZUC190
iv. Battlesden Avenue the entire length of
This temporary closure is required to enable water main replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing. It is expected that the works will take place on the following dates: i. ZUC97 from the 8th September to 6th October 2025 ii. ZUC190 from the 8th September to 6th October 2025 iii. London Road from the 6th October to 24th November 2025 iv. Battlesden Avenue from the 1st to 29th October 2025 The roads will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative routes for this closure are:
ZUC97 – Potters End, Tyrells End, Froxfield, Park Street, London Road
ZUC190 and Battlesden Avenue – London Road
London Road – A5, Thorn Road, B5120, A5120
The Order will come into operation on 8 September 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Leighton Road, Eggington outside Hockliffe Grounds farm grain store.
This temporary closure is required to enable mains connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 1 to 3 September 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via A5, A505, A4146, A4012, Hockliffe Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 1 September 2025 for a period of one month or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Hockliffe Street, Leighton Buzzard outside number 21A.
This temporary closure is required to enable link box replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 1 to 4 September 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
There is no alternative route for this closure.
The Order will come into operation on 1 September 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
