Cleeve Hill, Watchet - Temporary Closure due to pole testing works

What is happening?

Temporary Closure of Cleeve Hill
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Cleeve Hill - from 556 metres east of the junction with Washford To Cleeve Hill, north-eastwards for a total distance of 110 metres. This Order will enable Openreach to carry out pole testing works.
The Order becomes effective on 29th August 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 4th September 2025 and last until 4th September 2025 between the hours of 09:30 - 15:30 for a total of 6 hours. There is no alternative route for this closure. The works promoter will contact residents and businesses directly to discuss access arrangements.
