What is happening?

Temporary Closure of Victoria Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Victoria Road - from the junction with Hopcott Road, northwards for a total distance of 4 metres. This Order will enable Wales and West Utilities to carry out gas mains replacement works.
The Order becomes effective on 29th August 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 1st September 2025 and last until 10th October 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 40 days.
