Bury, Disposal Of Public Open Space For Padel Board Facility

BURY COUNCIL

LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 SECTION 123 (1), (2A) DISPOSAL OF ONE PARCEL OF PUBLIC OPEN SPACE AT MANCHESTER MACCABI COMMUNITY AND SPORTS CLUB, BURY OLD ROAD, PRESTWICH.

Pursuant to section 123 (2A) of the Local Government Act 1972, The Metropolitan Borough of Bury hereby gives notice of its intention to dispose of land covering a total area of approximately 1,670m2 and forming part of Manchester Maccabi Community and Sports Club, Bury Old Road, Prestwich. The land would be let by the Council and used as a padel board facility providing 4 covered padel board courts and ancillary kiosks as per Planning Application number 70619.

A copy of the plan showing the position of the land in question is available by writing in to Land & Property, Town Hall, Bury BL9 0SW or preferably by email from property@bury.gov.uk

This is a formal notice given insofar as the above-described parcel of land consists or forms part of an open space for the purposes of section 123 (2A) of the Local Government Act 1972.

Further information or objections regarding the above should be made in writing and addressed to Land & Property, Town Hall, Bury, BL9 0SW or preferably by email to property@bury.gov.uk to be received by no later than 04/09/2025.

Please note that all representations received may be considered in public by the Council and that the substance of any representation together with the name and address of the person making it could become available for public inspection.
