To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Spatham Lane – from South Fields Farm to Fleets Farm.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U5996 Spatham Lane – C71 Folders Lane East – B2112 Common Lane, North End, High Street – B2116 Lewes Road – U5996 Spatham Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 22 August 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;
Temporary Road Closures
Sheepsetting Lane – from the junction with A267 Little London Road to the junction with U7368 Mill Road.
Wealdview Road – from the junction with U7602 Sheepsetting Lane to No.11.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7368 Mill Road – A265 High Street, Cross In Hand Road – A267 Little London Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 24 August 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Old Forge Lane – from the junction with A22 Horney Common Road to the junction with B2026 Lampool Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2026 Lampool Road, Straight Half Mile – A22 Horney Common Road and vice versa.
