What is happening?

ABERDEENSHIRE COUNCIL

STONEHAVEN – TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

“The Aberdeenshire Council (Spurryhillock Railway Bridge, Stonehaven - 11.08.25) (Temporary Closure to Vehicular Traffic) Order, 2025” has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984. The order will operate from 11.08.25 until 16.11.25 and will prohibit any person from driving on the Access Road off Broomhill Road, Stonehaven at Spurryhillock Railway Bridge.

The temporary restriction is necessary in the interests of public safety during repairs being carried out to the railway bridge. An alternative route is available via Forest Drive - Brickfield Road - Arduthie Road - Slug Road - Farrochie Road - Kirkton Road - Broomhill Road - Access Roads off Broomfiled Road and vice versa.
