Northumberland, Temporary Road Closure Due To Resurfacing Works

C324 TOWS BANK TO LANEHEAD COANWOOD (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C324 Tows Bank to Lanehead Coanwood from its junction with C325 Whitfield To Plenmeller Road Junction to Lane Head heading in a southwards direction for a length of 1270 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 1st September 2025 until the 28th November 2025.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 1st September 2025 until the 19th September 2025 between the hours of 08:00 & 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 28th November.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the C326, C325 and vice-versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council for resurfacing works to the carriageway. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
