Temporary Closure of Orchard Portman Road
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Orchard Portman Road - from 368 metres south of the junction with Staple Fitzpaine Road, southwards for a total distance of 33 metres. This Order will enable Mike Gardiner Construction Ltd to lay new foul drainage line and make connection.
The Order becomes effective on 21st August 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 25th August 2025 and last until 5th September 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 12 days.
