Providence Street, Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Due To Construction Works

What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL PROVIDENCE STREET, BRADFORD TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of construction works to be executed on or near Providence Street, Bradford has made the abovenamed Order the effect of which is that no person shall proceed in the length of Providence Street from its junction with Westgate to its junction with Longlands Street.

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on the said length of road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the Order are available via New John Street and Westgate.

The Order comes into operation effect at 08:00 hours on the 11th August 2025 and remain in force until 18:00 hours on the 13th August 2025 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
