ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

B6295 ALLENDALE TOWN TO CATTON (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the B6295 Allendale Town to Catton leading in a north westward direction for a distance of 581 metres from its junction with B6295 Allendale To Sinderhope Road in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 25th August 2025 until the 27th February 2026.

It is expected that the road will be closed at all times from the 25th August 2025 until the 5th October 2025 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 27th February 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force via B6295, B6303 and vice versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

U8239 GREENWICH GARDENS AND LANGLEY GARDENS HAYDON BRIDGE (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections in the County of Northumberland:

  • U8239 Greenwich Gardens from its junction with Greenwich Gardens heading in a southwards and then eastwards direction for a distance of 237 metres.

  • Langley Gardens heading in a westward direction for a distance of 106 metres.

    The Order is to be effective from the 26th August 2025 until the 25th November 2025.

    It is expected that the roads will only be closed from the 26th August 2025 until the 29th August 2025 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 25th November 2025.

    There will be no alternative route available for the duration of the closure.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

U8176 BRIDGE END ROUNDABOUT TO CODLAW HILL JUNCTION WALL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U8176 Bridge End Roundabout to Codlaw Hill Junction from its junction with U8173 Carl Hill Road Junction to Military Road Junction heading in a southward direction for a distance of 1035 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 26th August 2025 until the 17th November 2025.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 26th August 2025 until the 8th September 2025 between the hours of 08:00-16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 17th November 2025.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via U8173, B6318, C239, C238 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

U8210 THORNTON HOUSE BACK LANE TO HAGG BANK WYLAM (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U8210 Thornton House Back Lane to Hagg Bank Wylam for a distance of 23 metres in a westward direction from its junction with U8210 Wylam Wood Road Elm Bank Road Back Lane in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 26th August 2025 until the 7th October 2025.

It is expected that the roads will only be closed from the 26th August 2025 until the 29th August 2025 between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 7th October 2025.

An alternative route will be available for the duration of the closure being via U8210, B6395, A695, B6317, C01 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Core Highways for tree cutting. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

U8292 BISHOPTON WAY HEXHAM (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U8292 Bishopton Way Hexham from its junction with U8297 Causey Hill Road heading in a westerly direction for a distance of 300 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 1st September 2025 until the 5th March 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 1st September 2025 until the 5th September 2025 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 5th March 2026.

There will be no alternative route available for the duration of the closure.

A696 SAUGH HOUSE TO KNOWESGATE BELSAY B6342 THROCKRINGTON JUNCTION TO SHIEL HILL CAPHEATON B6342 SHIELDHALL TO CAMBO KIRKHARLE (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic in the following sections of roads in the County of Northumberland:

  • A696 Saugh House to Knowesgate from its junction with U5401 Kirkheaton to Newhouses Junction to a distance of 2202 metres in a south-easterly direction.

  • B6342 Throckrington Junction To Shiel Hill from its junction with A696 for a distance of 706 metres in a south-westerly direction.

  • B6342 Shieldhall to Cambo from its junction with A696 for a distance of 345 metres in a north-easterly direction.

    The Order is to be effective from the 1st September 2025 until the 31st October 2025.

    It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 1st September 2025 until the 13th September 2025 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until the 31st October 2025.

    Alternate routes will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being:

  • Southbound: A696, B6345, B6342 and vice versa

  • Eastbound: A696, B6545, B6323, A69, A68, B6342 and vice versa

  • Westbound: B6342, C195 and vice versa

    Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

C242 BRIDGE END HEXHAM (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C242 Bridge End Hexham from its junction with A6079 Hexham Bypass to Hexham heading in a westwards direction for a distance of 1075 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 1st September 2025 until the 28th November 2025.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 1st September 2025 until the 5th September 2025 between the hours of 18:00-06:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 28th November 2025.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via A6079, A69, B6539, C242, A68 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

U8152 STATION ROAD BARRASFORD (TEMPORARY ROAD AND FOOTWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular and pedestrian traffic on that section of the U8152 Station Road Barrasford 10 metres north eastwards from its junction with U8254 East Acres for a distance of 25 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 27th August 2025 until the 9th September 2025.

It is expected that the road and footway will only be closed from the 27th August 2025 until the 2nd September 2025 and the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until the 9th September 2025.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via U8152, U8254 and vice-versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

No pedestrian crossing route diversion in place.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)(a)

PARISH OF COANWOOD PUBLIC FOOTPATHS NO. 16, NO. 36 AND THE LAMBLEY VIADUCT PERMISSIVE PATH

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. This is in accordance with section 15(8) of said Act and Regulation 7 of The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992 in that the following restrictions will continue to be in force:

Temporary Footpaths Closure:

To temporarily prohibit the use of the pedestrian traffic on a length of highway, in the Parish of Coanwood Public Footpath No. 16 from a point at the eastern end of the footbridge crossing the River South Tyne in a general south and south westerly direction for a distance of 125 metres, crossing the River South Tyne to a point 6 metres west of the Lambley Viaduct and the Parish of Coanwood Public Footpath No. 36.

Public Footpath No. 16, 5 metres west of the Lambley Viaduct in a general easterly and north easterly direction for a distance of 110 metres passing under the Lambley Viaduct to a point approx. 25 metres east of the Lambley Viaduct and a permissive path from this point in a general southerly direction for a distance of 335 metres passing under the Lambley Viaduct to join the Lambley Viaduct permissive path in a north easterly direction for a distance of 240 metres to a point 150 metres south-west of Castle Hill (the “path/route”) which is, in the opinion of the Local Authority, is unsafe for the public due to falling masonry from the Lambley Viaduct.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the Order is in force being via Public Footpath No. 16 at the eastern end of the footbridge crossing the River South Tyne in a westerly direction for a distance of 355 metres and from this point then in a general southerly direction for a distance of 335 metres passing under the Lambley Viaduct to join the permissive way line south of Station House and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

This Order came into force on the 1st August 2025 and will remain in force until the 1st February 2026.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (WAITING, LOADING & PARKING PLACES) (MAP BASED) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2024 VARIATION ORDER 27 (TRO_101_27)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council, in exercise of the powers conferred under sections 1 to 4, 32, 35, 45 and 46, 64 (as appropriate) and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, The Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other powers so enabling, intends to make the above-named Order.

The effect of the Order, if made, will be to vary the Northumberland County Council (Waiting, Loading & Parking Places) (Map Based) Consolidation Order 2024**:** by introducing “No Parking at any time” parking restrictions on sections of the B6318 Burn House Junction to Greenhead Road, Greenhead and the U7033 Military Road to Roman Wall Road, Greenhead Bank.

The restrictions can also be viewed in map format, as the maps form part of the Order and are based to the scale of the Council’s GIS mapping software, and are available to view on the Council’s website (see below). The relevant map tiles, plans and other documents, together with a Statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order are available to view or download on the NCC website:

U1931 MARIUS AVENUE HEDDON-ON-THE WALL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. This is in accordance with section 15(8) of said Act and Regulation 7 of The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992 in that the following restrictions will continue to be in force:

Temporary Road Closure:

A Road Closure will be in force on the U1931 Marius Avenue, Heddon-on-the-Wall from the gable end of number 14 Marius Avenue for a distance of 30 metres in a south-easterly direction (“the Road”) in the County of Northumberland.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst in force via Camilla Avenue to the north and Valerian Avenue to the east and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The Order has been requested by Northumbrian Water to install a new surface water rising main and reinstate a sewer connection.

The Order will come into force on 26th August 2025 and will remain in force until the 15th August 2025.
