Leverton Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Proceeding
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(LEVERTON ROAD, STURTON LE STEEPLES) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PROCEEDING) ORDER 2025 (BS25-251)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Sturton le Steeples in the District of Bassetlaw.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
2. Leverton Road, Sturton le Steeples - From its junction with Ketlock Hill Lane to its junction with Springs Lane
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 08:00 hours until 15:30 hours
From Thursday 21st August until Wednesday 27th August 2025 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
Leverton Road - Cross Street - Station Road - Gainsborough Road - Sturton Road - Gainsborough Road - Retford Road - Low Road - Clayborough Hill - Main Street - Welham Road - Moorgate - Arlington Way - Spital Hill - Leverton Road - Retford Road - Main Street - Sturton Road - Leverton Road and vice versa
The Order will come into force on 21st August 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
