Blackburn With Darwen, Temporary Road Closures Due To Resurfacing Works
What is happening?
THE BOROUGH OF BLACKBURN WITH DARWEN
(VARIOUS ROADS IN BLACKBURN, DARWEN AND EDGWORTH)
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) (RESURFACING WORKS) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, intend to make the above Order under Section 14 (1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order will be to close the roads listed in the first column of the Schedule to the extent listed in the second column of the Schedule for a rolling programme of resurfacing works.
The Order will come into force on the 17th August 2025 and shall continue for a period of 18 months.
However, the closures will only be operative when advanced warning signs are in place and it is anticipated that the works are completed, each road will commence on the date listed in column 4 of the Schedule and be completed on the date listed in column 5 of the Schedule. The actual dates for each road closure may be affected if traffic is set out in Column 3 of the Schedule.
Access for emergency vehicles and residents will be maintained at all times.
