What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,  makes or intends to make the following Orders.

DARTFORD AREA

A226 Dartford Road, Dartford, DA1 4AF (PROHIBITION OF EASTBOUND TRAFFIC) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A226 Dartford Road, Dartford, on or after 7th September 2025 for up to 1 day between 08.00hrs and 16.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed eastbound between 9 and 1D.

The alternative route is via B2174 Princes Road, A2018 Shepherds Lane and A226 Dartford Road.

 

B262 Sandbanks Hill, Darenth, DA2 8EH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of the rebuilding of the property wall, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B262 Sandbanks Hill, Darenth, on or after 18th August 2025 for up to 5 days between 09.00hrs and 17.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Bretia.

The alternative route is via B262 Sandbanks Hill, B255 Highcross Road/Whitehill Road, B260 Green Street Green Road and vice versa.

 

Chastilian Road & North Road, Dartford, DA1 3PR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPEND 5T WEIGHT LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of gas mains replacement, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chastilian Road, Dartford, on or after 18th August 2025 for up to 15 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Station Road and Heath Road. The 5T Weight Limit will be suspended on North Road.

The alternative route is via Chastilian Road, B2174 Princes Road, A226/A207 Crayford Road, Station Road and vice versa.
