Church Lane (C72) and The Enterdent (D394) Godstone
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of:-
(a) Church Lane (C72) Godstone as extends from its junction with Eastbourne Road (B2236) to a point 15 metres north of this junction; and (b) The Enterdent (D394) Godstone from its junction with Eastbourne Road (B2236) to a point 15 metres south of this junction.
Alternative Route – (a) Bulbeggars Lane and B2236 (Eastbourne Road), or this route in reverse. (b) Tilburstow Hill Road, Love Lane and B2236 (Eastbourne Road), or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable the Openreach to facilitate cabling and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 2 September 2025 for 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Hazelwood Lane (C137) Chipstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hazelwood Lane (C137) Chipstead as extends from its junction with High Road (C136) to its junction with Doghurst Lane (D1083); and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Hazelwood Lane (C137) Chipstead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” insofar as it relates to the length of road described in (a).
Alternative Route – High Road, Couldson Lane, Portnalls Road, B2032 (Chipstead Valley Road and Outwood Lane) and Hazelwood Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate pole replacement, tree cutting and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 31 August 2025 for 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
How Lane (D1080) Chipstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of How Lane (D1080) Chipstead as extends its junction with Bouverie Road (D1079) to the northern boundary of the property known as “Fernbank”.
Alternative Route – How Lane, B2032 (Chipstead Valley Road), Portnalls Road, Coulsdon Lane and How Lane, or this route in reverse. From Bouverie Road – Lissoms Road and Hollymead Road to follow main route.
This Order is required to enable SGN to facilitate mains replacement and associated works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 1 September 2025 for 2 months, between the hours of 7.00am and 4.30pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to properties within the closure will be maintained at all times.
Clayhill Road (D320) and Newdigate Road (C59) Leigh
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of; (a) Clayhill Road (D320) Leigh; (b) Newdigate Road (C59) Leigh.
This Order will be carried out in 3 phases and is required to facilitate installation of ducting, cabling, and splicing works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 18 days, between the hours of 9am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 02 September 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Alternative Route: (1) Tapners Road, Bunce Common Road, and Newdigate Road, or this route in reverse; (2) Newdigate Road, Bunce Common Road, Shellwood Road, and Clayhill Road, or this route in reverse; (3) Newdigate Road, Bunce Common Road, Shellwood Road, and Clayhill Road, or this route in reverse.
Vincent Walk (Townpath) (T8063) Dorking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from entering or proceeding on foot or by any other means in that length of Vincent Walk (Townpath) (T8063) Dorking as extends from a point in line with the common boundary between property No.1 and No.2 Vincent Mews to a point in line with the common boundary between property No.1 and property No.2 Western Place.
Alternative Route: Vincent Walk (Townpath), (A25) West Street, Junction Road, (A25) South Street, and Vincent Walk (Townpath).
This Order is required to facilitate overhead spine cabling works, and/or any other maintenance works, for or on behalf of Morrison Telecom Services Ltd.
These works are anticipated to be carried out in 1 day, between the hours of 10am and 4pm, during the 6-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 07 September 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintainaccess through the closure, however, access for emergency services will be maintained at all times, as well as access for residents who will be able to gain access from the front of their properties.
Pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be required to follow the diversion route.
Philanthropic Road (C222) Redhill
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Philanthropic Road (C222) Redhill that is crossed under the bridge known as “Hooley Lane - Structure 24” and for a distance of 15 metres either side.
Alternative Route: Philanthropic Road, Redstone Hollow, (A25) Redstone Hill, (A23) Marketfield Way, (A23) Brighton Road, Woodlands Road, St Johns Road, and Hooley Lane, or this route in reverse.
This route avoids low bridge of “7ft” on Hooley Lane. This Order is required to facilitate tree cutting and felling works on the banks of the bridge for, or on behalf of Network Rail.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9am and 2pm, during the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 07 September 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, from either side of the closure. All other vehicular traffic, including emergency service vehicles, will be required to the follow the diversion route.
No sole access is affected by this closure.
Haxted Road (C87) Lingfield
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Haxted Road (C87) Lingfield as extends from its junction with (D408) Bowerland Lane to its junction with the access to the property known as “Barrow Green Farm”.
Alternative Route: (1) Haxted Road, Lingfield Road, (B2026) Mill Hill, (B2026) Marsh Green Road, (B2026) Moor Lane, (B2028) Racecourse Road, (B2028) Town Hill, (B2028) High Street, (B2028) Plaistow Street, (B2029) Godstone Road, Lingfield Common Road, and Haxted Road; (2) Haxted Road, Lingfield Common Road, (B2029) Godstone Road, (B2028) Plaistow Street, (B2028) High Street, (B2028) Town Hill, (B2028) Racecourse Road, (B2026) Moor Lane, (B2026) Marsh Green Road, (B2026) Mill Hill, (B2026) Mont St Aignan Way, Lingfield Road, and Haxted Road.
This Order is required to facilitate telecom pole testing works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 03 September 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists, via the marshalls on site.

Run Reigate Event (Temporary Traffic Measures) Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order, pursuant to Sections 16A and 16B of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), which will take effect on 21 September 2025 for one day only, the effect of which will be to prohibit all vehicles from entering or proceeding along the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice or any parts thereof. Such restriction shall also apply in relation to the riding, leading or driving of horses or any other animals.
The Order is required to facilitate the holding of 4 on-road running events namely the Run Reigate Half Marathon, 10K Race, 5K Race and Kids Race.
The restrictions specified above will not apply to such vehicles being used in connection with the said event, or to anything done on the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a traffic marshal, or any sign placed by Surrey Police.
Emergency access will be maintained for the police, fire brigade and ambulance services and for organisations responsible for dealing with the loss of supplies of gas, electricity, water or electronic communications, to premises in the area and for the removal of any obstruction to traffic.
No exemption will apply for disabled persons’ vehicles and all parking places in the lengths of road specified in the Schedule below will be suspended.
The prohibitions herein will only be operative while the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
The Council are satisfied that, in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road to which this Order relates, or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising, or for facilitating the passage of vehicular traffic on the road, vehicular access to premises situated in the roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted, save for emergency access as indicated above.
Access for pedestrians will be unaffected. It is anticipated that the temporary closures will take effect from 8am until 2pm, though roads will re-open when it is safe and practical to do so.
The Council are also satisfied, in accordance with subsection (3) of Section 16A of the Act, that the event to which the Order relates cannot be held otherwise than on a road.
Alternative routes will be signed and access to Westvale Park will be maintained by suspending the prohibition of turn/entry to and from Webber Street from Meath Green Lane at its northernmost junction, imposed by The Meath Green Lane (D334) and Webber Street Horley (Prohibition of Turn and Entry and Revocation) Order 2022.

Millers Lane (C65) Outwood
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 1 August 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Millers Lane (C65) Outwood as extends from its junction with Scotts Hill (C70) to a point 240 metres west of this junction.
Alternative Route – Scotts Hill, Normans Road, Chapel Road, Rookery Hill and Millers Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate pole testing and associated works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 August 2025 for 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Croydon Road (A242) Reigate and Hooley Lane (C222) Redhill
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 06 August 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Croydon Road (A242) Reigate that is crossed under the bridge known as “Croydon Road” (RSJ 1219) and for a distance of 20 metres either side.
Alternative Route: (A242) Croydon Road, (A25) Reigate Road, (A25) Hatchlands Road, (A25) Linkfield Corner, (A25) Station Road, (A25) Queensway, (A25) London Road, (A23) London Road, (A242) Gatton Park Road, and (A242) Croydon Road, or this route in reverse; (b) Hooley Lane (C222) Redhill that is crossed under the bridge known as “Hooley Lane” (VTB3 102 and 102A) and for a distance of 20 metres either side.
Alternative Route: (1) Hooley Lane, (A23) Brighton Road, (A23) Marketfield Way, (A25) Redstone Hill, and Redstone Hollow; (2) Redstone Hollow, (A25) Redstone Hill, (A23) Marketfield Way, (A23) Brighton Road, and Brook Road.
This Order is required to facilitate bridge inspection works for, or on behalf of Network Rail.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night, between the hours of 10pm and 6am, during the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 20 August 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists, via the marshalls on site.
