Whittern Way and Folly Lane, Hereford - Temporary Road Closures due to Anti-Skid and HFS Works

What is happening?

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: HC Folly Lane/Whittern Way Anti Skid & HFS Works (25-792) Temporary Road Closure Order 2025 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the roads shown in schedule 1 of the Order.

Diversion routes will be signposted locally and published online at One.Network.

The said closures are required due to anti skid and HFS and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said Order will come into force on the 18th August 2025 and will remain for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport) or until any said proposed works completed, (whichever is the earlier), or until determined by Herefordshire Council. However the programme of works are expected to be completed within 2 weeks approximately. Definitive dates & times will be notified by on-site advanced warning signs, but each road is expected to be closed for durations shown in Schedule 1 of the Order.
