(THTTC3852 FIRGROVE LANE, PEASEDOWN ST JOHN, BATH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Firgrove Lane, Peasedown St John, Bath from its junction with Carlingcott extending south east to its junction with Lower Church Road. USRN: 47902505.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable National Grid to replace a decayed electricity pole and carry out overhead reconductoring works from the 11th August 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for FIVE DAYS.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Lower Church Road – Church Road – Carpenters Hill – Carlingcott Lane – Carlingcott – vice versa.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:

• A road closure in that length of Lansdown Road, Charlcombe, Bath from its boundary with South Gloucestershire extending south to its junction with Beachwood Lane. USRN: 47902186.

• A suspension of the 7.5 tonne weight limit along the lengths of roads listed in Schedule 1 of this order, as part of the diversion route.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Openreach to carry out pole testing works on the 27th August 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. 
This is anticipated to be for ONE DAY between 09:30-15:30hrs only.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a footpath closure in that length of Margaret’s Buildings, City Centre, Bath at its junction with Brock Street.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath to enable National Grid to excavate the footway for link box replacement from the 11th August 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months.

The footpath will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for EIGHT DAYS.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:

• A road closure in that length of Oldfield Lane, Oldfield Park, Bath from its junction with Oldfield Road extending south for approximately 180 metres. USRN: 47901198.

• A suspension of the one-way restriction in that length of Oldfield Lane, Oldfield Park, Bath from its junction with Oldfield Road extending south for approximately 180 metres. This will allow vehicles to access/egress properties from the southern end of Oldfield Lane only.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable National Grid to carry out excavations and low voltage cable laying for a new electricity supply on the 27th August 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for TWO WEEKS.
