What is happening?
THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF GATESHEAD (THE QUAYS MULTI STOREY CAR PARK) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
Notice is hereby given that the Borough Council of Gateshead (“the Council”) proposes to make an Order in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1), 32, 33, 35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), by virtue of the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Northumbria Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.
The proposed Order will introduce pay and display parking into The Quays Multi Storey Car Park as detailed in the Schedules set out below.
The draft Order together with Plans and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be viewed at the information desk on the ground floor of Gateshead Council’s Civic Centre, Regent Street, Gateshead, NE8 1HH, Monday to Thursday between 8.45am and 5.00pm and Friday between 8.45am and 4.30pm or online at: www.gateshead.gov.uk/trafficschemes.
If you wish to object to the proposed Order, you should send the grounds for your objection in writing to be received by the undersigned at the above address on or before 01 September 2025.
