What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CHURCH STREET, HERTFORD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Church Street, Hertford from its junction with Fore Street south eastwards for a distance of approximately 50m (“the Road”), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 23 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HAMELS LANE, BUNTINGFORD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hamels Lane, Buntingford from its junction with A10 (unnamed road) north westwards, westwards, south westwards and north westwards to its junction with C16 (unnamed road), a distance of approximately 2164m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A10 (unnamed road/Puckeridge Bypass), Mentley Lane West and C16 (Great Munden/Nasty/unnamed road).

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 26 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF DIMSDALE STREET, HERTFORD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the north eastbound carriageway of Dimsdale Street, Hertford from a point 35m south west of its eastermost junction with B158 Cowbridge north eastwards for a distance of approximately 35m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Dimsdale Street and B158 Cowbridge.

The Order is needed because service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 25 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ST CATHERINES ROAD, BROXBOURNE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of St Catherines Road, Broxbourne from a point in line with the western boundary of No.6 Elmhurst south eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via St Catherines Road, Osborne Road and St Catherines Road.

The Order is needed because utility repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 28 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTIONS ON A507 BALDOCK ROAD, COTTERED) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from being driven at a speed exceeding 30mph on that length of A507 Baldock Road, Cottered from its junction with Cottered Restricted Byway No.046 westwards to its junction with Throcking Road, a distance of approximately 703m (“the Road”), when signs are in place.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and it shall come into force on 9 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BRAMFIELD ROAD, BULLS GREEN) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bramfield Road, Bulls Green from a point 34m south east of its junction with Coltsfoot Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 34m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Burnham Green Road.

The Order is needed because utility repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 11 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF COLE GREEN, HERTFORD) ORDER NO.2 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Cole Green, Hertford from its westernmost junction with The Old Coach Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 140m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via The Old Coach Road and Cole Green.

The Order is needed because the installation of a new transformer is proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 11 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF EAST STREET, WARE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of East Street, Ware from its junction with A1170 High Road north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with New Road, a distance of approximately 96m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via A1170 High Road and New Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 11 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF 3U152 (UNNAMED ROAD), UPWICK GREEN) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of 3U152 (unnamed road), Upwick Green from its junction with Albury Public Bridleway No.13 north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 450m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via 3U152 (unnamed road), Clapgate, Albury Road, A120 (Stortford Road/Hadham Road/Bishops Stortford Bypass), B1383 Stansted Road, B1004 St Michaels Road, Farnham Road, Levels Green and 3U152 (unnamed road).

The Order is needed because the replacement of existing telegraph poles is proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 14 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF C32 (UNNAMED ROAD), BRAUGHING) ORDER NO.2 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of C32 (unnamed road), Braughing from its junction with B1368 Hay Street north westwards, south westwards, north westwards and south westwards to its junction with A10 (unnamed road), a distance of approximately 1208m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via B1368 (Hay Street/Green End/Station Road/ Wickham Hill/Buntingford Road) and A10 (unnamed road).

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 11 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF RAFFIN GREEN LANE, DATCHWORTH) ORDER NO.2 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Raffin Green Lane, Datchworth from its junction with A602 Hooks Cross south westwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A602 (Hooks Cross/Broadhall Way), Bragbury Lane, Bury Lane and Raffin Green Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 11 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
