What is happening?

Mae Cyngor Sir Dinas a Sir Caerdydd, wrth arfer ei bwerau dan Adran 14(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd), a’r holl bwerau galluogi eraill, yn bwriadu, mewn dim llai na 7 diwrnod o ddyddiad yr Hysbysiad hwn, wneud Gorchymyn a fydd yn atal unrhyw gerbyd neu berson rhag defnyddio neu deithio ar hyd y darnau o’r briffordd a nodir yn yr Atodlen isod. Mae angen y Gorchymyn i hwyluso gwaith ar neu ger y briffordd a disgwylir iddo ddod i rym ar y dyddiadau a nodir yn yr Atodlen isod. 

Dim ond ar yr adegau ac i’r graddau a nodir ar arwyddion a/neu hysbysiadau sy’n cael eu harddangos y bydd y cyfyngiad dan sylw ar waith. Bydd y Gorchymyn yn parhau ar waith am hyd at 18 mis. 

Enw’r Gorchymyn fydd “Gorchymyn Cyngor Sir Dinas a Sir Caerdydd (Rhodfa’r Orsaf a Stryd Bute, Caerdydd) (Cau Priffordd Dros Dro) 2025”

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC PROPOSAL THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY AND COUNTY OF CARDIFF (RAILWAY TERRACE AND BUTE STREET, TONGWYNLAIS, CARDIFF) (TEMPORARY HIGHWAY CLOSURES) ORDER 2025 

The County Council of the City and County of Cardiff in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), and of all other enabling powers intends in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the general effect of which is to prevent any person or any vehicle from using or proceeding along the lengths of highway specified in the below Schedule. 

The Order is necessary to facilitate works on or near to the highway and is expected to be in operation on the dates specified in the Schedule below. 

The restriction specified will only have the effect at such times and to such extent as indicated by the display of signs and/or notices. The Order will remain in force for a maximum of 18 months. 

The Order will be known as “The County Council of the City and County of Cardiff (Railway Terrace and Bute Street, Cardiff) (Temporary Highway Closure) Order 2025”. 

SCHEDULE 

From Monday 18th August 2025 to Friday 22nd August 2025 
Railway Terrace throughout its length The alternative route will be via Cross Street, Queen Street and Hermon Hill 

From Monday 25th August 2025 to Friday 29th August 2025 
Bute Street throughout its length 
The alternative route will be via Queen Street, Hermon Hill and Merthyr Road
