Temporary Closure of Various Bridleways and Footpaths, Spetisbury And Tarrant Keyneston

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists will be prohibited from proceeding along Bridleway E22/7 Tarrant Keyneston, Public Footpath E22/14 Tarrant Keyneston & Bridleway E17/5 Spetisbury, Public Footpath E17/2 Spetisbury from grid reference ST391497 103545 to grid reference ST391420 103549, a distance of approximately 110 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.

It will come into operation on 16 August 2025 for a period of 26 weeks, but it may be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary.

This Order is required to prevent users crossing the leat free stream bridge that is considered unsafe for Right of Way traffic.

Temporary Closure of Public Footpath E42/30, Ferndown

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists will be prohibited from proceeding along Footpath E42/30, Ferndown from grid reference SU 073878 00378 to grid reference SU 073140 00377, a distance of approximately 65 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 8th August 2025 for a period of 26 weeks, but it is expected the works will be completed by 5th September 2025.

This Order is required to allow the construction and installation of two new crossings along Albert Road, Ferndown, and the widening of a new footpath in Millennium Park to connect the new crossing.

There will be no alternative route.
