A66 Trunk Road & A19 Trunk Road - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic For Replacement & Bridge Joint Repair Works
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14
THE A66 TRUNK ROAD (SANDY LEAS LANE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the A66 Trunk Road, in Stockton-on-Tees, to enable bollard replacement works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start on Friday 5 September 2025 for 1 night, or until completed.
The effect of the Order will be to close, at times during the works, between 8pm and 6am, the A66 eastbound exit slip road at Sandy Leas Lane, during which times a suitably signed alternative route will be available at all times.
Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibition (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes).
The Order comes into force on 4 September 2025 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
THE A19 TRUNK ROAD (STOCKTON ROAD INTERCHANGE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the A19 Trunk Road, in Cleveland, to enable bridge joint repair works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start at 8pm on Friday 5 September 2025 for 1 weekend or until completed.
The effect of the Order will be for 24 hours a day, between 8pm on Friday to 6am on Monday for a period of 1 weekend, to close the link road connecting the A66 eastbound carriageway with the A19 southbound carriageway at Stockton Road Interchange, during which times suitably signed alternative routes will be available.
Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibition (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes).
The Order comes into force on 4 September 2025 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
