PUBLIC NOTICE

LONDON BOROUGH OF BROMLEY

**THE BROMLEY (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) ORDER 2003 (AMENDMENT NO. **) ORDER 202

THE BROMLEY (CONTROLLED PARKING) (ON STREET PLACES) ORDER 2004 (AMENDMENT NO. **) ORDER 202

T796 - (VARIOUS LOCATIONS)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bromley proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and all other enabling powers.

The effect of the Orders would be to:

(a) Introduce new ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions as set out in Schedule 1 to this Notice;

(b) Convert existing ‘free’ parking bays to Pay by Phone parking bays as set out in Schedules 2 and 3 to this Notice.

Details of prohibitions and exemptions for certain vehicles and persons are contained in the original Orders.

Copies of the proposed Orders, of the plans of the scheme and of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at Bromley Civic Centre, 2 Westmoreland Road, Bromley, BR1 1AS, or by emailing TrafficManagementOrders@Bromley.gov.uk.

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Director of Environment and Public Protection, Bromley Civic Centre, 2 Westmoreland Road, Bromley, BR1 1AS, or by email to TrafficManagementOrders@Bromley.gov.uk, quoting reference ADE(TP)/RP/T100/T796 not later than 27th August 2025.

Persons objecting to the proposed Orders should be aware that under the provisions of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, any comments received in response to this Notice may be open to public inspection.

SCHEDULE 1

WAITING RESTRICTIONS – No Waiting at Any Time: -

Glebe Way, West Wickham:

(a) north-east (i) the service road fronting Nos. 32 to 62, from a point 2m east of a point opposite the western flank wall of No. 32 westward for a distance of 1.3m

(ii) the service road fronting Nos. 32 to 62, from a point 4m east of a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 60 & 62 eastward for a distance of 3m.

SCHEDULE 2

PAY BY PHONE BAY – Operating between 8.30am and 5.30pm Monday to Saturday inclusive:

Petts Wood Road, Orpington, BR5:

(a) south

(i) from a point 6m east of the common boundary of Nos. 141 & 143 eastward for a distance of 6m

(ii) from a point 6m east of the common boundary of Nos. 145 & 147 eastward for a distance of 6m

(iii) from a point 6m east of the common boundary of Nos. 149 & 151 eastward for a distance of 6m

(iv) from a point east of the common boundary of Nos. 153 & 155 eastward for a distance of 6m

Croydon Road, Beckenham:

(a) north

(i) from the western flank wall of Nos. 162 to 166 and Nos. 176 to 180 westward for a distance of 5m

(ii) south

(i) from a point 0.5m east of the party wall of Nos. 119 and 121/123 eastward to a point 3.5m east of the party wall of Nos. 143 and 145

(ii) from a point 0.5m east of the party wall of Nos. 119 and 121/123 eastward to a point 3.5m east of the party wall of Nos. 143 and 145

(c) north-west

(i) from a point 10 metres north east of the north eastern kerbline of Shrewsbury Road to a point 1 metre south west of the common boundary of Leslie Court and Gloucester Court

(ii) from a point 6m north east of the common boundary of Nos. 233 & 235 south-westward to a point 3m south west of the party wall of Nos. 229 & 231.

(a) west

(i) from a point 13m south of the southern kerbline of Eden Park Avenue southward for a distance of 24m

(b) east

(i) from a point 2.5m south of the northern flank wall of the public house southward for a distance of 11m.

(a) north-east

(i) the service road fronting Nos. 32 to 62, from a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 36 & 38 eastward to a point 4m east of a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 60 & 62.

High Street Penge, Bromley:

(a) north-east

(i) from a point 3m north-west of the party wall of Nos. 19 & 21 south-eastward to the party wall of Nos. 23 & 25

(ii) from a point 5 metres north-west of the party wall of Nos. 55 and 57 to a point 16 metres north west of the north western kerbline of Mosselea Road

(iii) from a point 1.5 metres south east of the party wall of Nos. 71 and 73 to a point 0.5 metres south east of the party wall of Nos. 81 and 83 High Street.

Plaistow Lane, Bromley, BR1:

(a) north

(i) from the party wall of Nos. 7 and 8 Sundridge Parade, westward to a point 3 metres west of the party wall of Nos. 10 and 11 Sundridge Parade

(b) south

(i) from the party wall of Nos. 28 and 30 to the eastern boundary wall of No. 34

(ii) in the lay-by fronting Nos. 10 to 22, from a point 1.5m north west of the party wall of Nos. 20 & 22 north-westward to the party wall of Nos. 10 & 12.
