What is happening?
NOTICE OF ORDER HAVING BEEN MADE THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH (TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS) (AMENDMENT ORDER NO. 2025.2137338 - TRO REVIEW.14) ORDER 2025 & THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH (TRAFFIC MOVEMENT AND SPEED LIMIT REGULATIONS) (AMENDMENT ORDER No. 2025.2137338 TRO REVIEW.14) ORDER 2025
The Council of the City of Plymouth in exercise of their powers under the relevant Sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, have made the above named Orders:-
The effect of the order shall be to;
1. Add/Amend Parking Restrictions on lengths of the following roads:
Alton Road, Arcadia Road, Blandford Road, Brynmoor Close, Brynmoor Park, Burniston Close, Charfield Drive, Cherry Park, Doreena Road, Efford Lane, Estover Road, Ford Hill, Fox Field Close, George Street, Hawkinge Gardens, Highfield Close, Hillsborough, Hoe Approach, Horn Lane, Howard Road, Kings Road, Knowle Avenue, Meadow Park, Medway Place, Moorcroft Close, Paradise Road, Peeks Avenue, Pembroke Street, Plymview Close, Richmond Walk, Springfield Road, St Eval Place, St Modwen Road, Stanborough Road, Upper Knollys Terrace Lane, Whitleigh Way, Widey Lane, Wolverwood Lane, Wolseley Road.
2. Add a 7.5 tonne weight restriction (except for access) on lengths of the following road: St Mary Street Subject to Schedule 9 Part VI of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of the provisions in it on the grounds that the Order is not within the relevant powers or that any of the relevant requirements or regulations made hereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
