Lower Ashley Road, New Milton, New Forest - Temporary Road Closure due to tree cutting works

What is happening?

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road. 
ROAD TO BE CLOSED:
that part of Lower Ashley Road between its junction with Glen Spey and continuing to a point 96 metres South on Lower Ashley Road. 
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Lymington road, Caird Avenue, Ashley Road. DURATION OF ORDER: from Tuesday 26th August 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner.  (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 2 days and working between the hours 08:00-18:00). 
The Temporary Road Closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Evergreen Trees to complete tree cutting works. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order please contact: charlotteskinner@southcoasttm.co.uk.
