CYNGOR SIR FYNWY (STRYD ISAF YR EGLWYS, CAS-GWENT, SIR FYNWY) HYSBYSIAD RHEOLEIDDIO TRAFFIG DROS DRO 2025

HYSBYSIR DRWY HYN bod CYNGOR SIR FYNWY, Neuadd y Sir, y Rhadyr, Brynbuga, NP15 1GA ("y Cyngor") yn bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn yn unol â'r pwerau a roddwyd gan Adran 14(1)(a) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984:  

1. Daeth y Gorchymyn i rym ar 17eg Awst 2025 a bydd yn parhau i fod mewn grym am gyfnod nad yw'n hwy na 18 mis neu nes bod y gwaith y cynigir ei wneud wedi'i gwblhau, pa un bynnag yw'r cynharaf. Rhagwelwyd  bod y gwaith yn cael ei gwblhau ar 17eg Awst 2025, gan weithio rhwng 08:00 – 17:00.

2.  Roedd angen y Gorchymyn  er mwyn i Dŵr Cymru wneud gwaith mewn modd diogel yn y lleoliad.   Cedwir mynediad rhesymol ar gyfer eiddo sydd ar hyd y ffyrdd a effeithir arnynt tra y bydd yr heol ar gau.  

3. Effaith y Gorchymyn oedd:

I. Cau dros dro rhan o Stryd Isaf yr Eglwys, Cas-gwent, Sir Fynwy, ~50m o'r gyffordd â Stryd Santes Ann am ~35m.
II. Atal y system unffordd dros dro ar y tair ffordd a enwir: Stryd yr Eglwys, Cas-gwent, Stryd Isaf y Castell, Cas-gwent, Stryd Santes Ann, Cas-gwent ar gyfer eu cyfanrwydd er mwyn caniatáu i system ddwyffordd dros dro fod ar waith o ddwy ochr y pwynt cau. Bydd Gweithwyr Rheoli Traffig ar y safle i reoli symudiad traffig yn ôl yr angen.  

4. Roedd llwybr dargyfeirio fel a ganlyn:- Stryd y Bont, Bryn Castellffordd, B4228, A48, Sgwâr Beaufort, Stryd Ganol, Stryd Uchaf yr Eglwys.  

5. Gellir enwi'r Gorchymyn hwn fel Gorchymyn Rheoleiddio Traffig Dros Dro Stryd Isaf yr Eglwys, Cas-gwent, Sir Fynwy 2025.  

6. Yn sgil Adran 16(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffordd 1984 bydd person sy'n torri cyfyngiad neu waharddiad a osodir dan Adran 14 y Ddeddf yn euog o drosedd.

MONMOUTHSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION NOTICE SECTION 14 - ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984  

MONMOUTHSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(LOWER CHURCH STREET, CHEPSTOW, MONMOUTHSHIRE) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION NOTICE 2025  


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that MONMOUTHSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL of County Hall, The Rhadyr, Usk, NP15 1GA (“the Council”) Has made an order pursuant to the powers conferred by Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984  

1. The Order came into operation on the 17th August 2025 and will continue to be in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be completed on the 17th August 2025, operating between 08:00 – 17:00.  

2. The order was necessary for Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water works to take place in a safe manner at the location. Reasonable access will be maintained for properties fronting the affected lengths of road during the period of the closure.  

3. The effect of the order was:  
l. To temporarily close a section of Lower Church Street, Chepstow, Monmouthshire, ~50m from its junction with St Ann Street for ~35m.

ll. To temporarily suspend the one-way system on the three named roads: Church Street, Chepstow, Lower Castle Street, Chepstow, St Anns Street, Chepstow for their entirety to allow for a temporary two-way system to be in place from both sides of the closure point. Traffic Management Operatives will be on site to manage traffic movement as and where necessary.   

4. A signed diversionary route was in place as follows:-Bridge Street, Castleford Hill, B4228, A48, Beaufort Square, Middle Street, Upper Church Street.  

5. This order may be cited as the Lower Church Street, Chepstow, Monmouthshire Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2025  

6. By virtue of Section 16(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 a person who contravenes a restriction or prohibition imposed under Section 14 of the Act shall be guilty of an offence.
