SECTION 16A ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

(as amended)

THE TEMPORARY PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC (SPECIAL EVENTS) (PTO T100 – E16) ORDER 2025

  1. The NEWHAM LONDON BOROUGH COUNCIL, hereby gives notice that it made an Order – THE TEMPORARY PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC (SPECIAL EVENTS) (PTO T100 – E16) the general effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding or waiting on the public highway.

  2. The Order is made to enable PTO to carry out a Special Event, on or near the highway. The prohibition applies from Saturday 09th August 2025 to Sunday 10th August or on completion of the event, whichever is the sooner.

  3. Vehicular access / egress will be via local adjacent roads; other vehicular traffic will be diverted on displayed routes and on occasion may be held for short periods. Pedestrian access will not be affected. London Buses will be permitted to turn right from Strait Road into Stansfeld Road, E16.

  4. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected.

  5. Nothing in this Notice shall apply to:–

    (a) any vehicle being used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes, for the purpose of an undertaker in an emergency or in connection with the filming.

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a Police Constable in uniform, CSAS Accredited Marshal or suitable authorised officer.
