Killinghurst Lane (D158) Chiddingfold Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Killinghurst Lane (D158) Chiddingfold as extends from the access for the farm buildings to the west of Ramsnest Bridge and the access for the property known as “Ramster”.
Alternative Route – A283 (Cripplecrutch Hill), B2131 (Rodgate Lane and Petworth Road) and Killinghurst Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate bridge replacement for Ramsnest Bridge and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 1 September 2025 for 3 months, between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Long Reach (D247) and The Street (C41) West Horsley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of:- (a) Long Reach (D247) West Horsley as extends from the eastern boundary of the property known as “61 Long Reach” to the western boundary of the property known as “63 Long Reach”; and (b) The Street (C41) West Horsley as extends from the southern boundary of the property known as “164 The Street” to the northern boundary of the property known as “168 The Street”.
Alternative Route – (a) Long Reach, B2039 (Ockham Road North) and East Lane, or this route in reverse. (b) The Street, A246 (Epsom Road and Guildford Road)., B2039 (Ockham Road South and Ockham Road North), East Lane and The Street, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Affinity Water to facilitate water connections and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 1 September 2025. The works on Long Reach will start on 1 September for 3 days, between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. The works on The Street will start on 2 September for 3 days, between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Shere Hill Climb, Charity Car Parade C45 Staple Lane, East Clandon (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order, pursuant to Sections 16A and 16B of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), the effect of which will be to prohibit all vehicles from entering or proceeding along the entire length of C45 Staple Lane, East Clandon, that extends from its junction with A246 Epsom Road, to its junction with D259 Combe Lane, such restriction shall also apply in relation to the riding, leading or driving of horses or any other animals. The Temporary Traffic Order is required to enable the holding of a charity car parade namely the “Shere Hill Climb” on the length of Staple Lane described above. The temporary prohibition specified above will not apply to vehicles being used in connection with the said parade (including those used for traffic management purposes), or to anything done on the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a traffic marshal, or any sign placed by Surrey Police. Emergency access will be maintained for the police, fire brigade and ambulance services and for organisations responsible for dealing with the loss of supplies of gas, electricity, water or electronic communications, to premises in the area and for the removal of any obstruction to traffic. The Council are satisfied, in accordance with subsection (3) of Section 16A of the Act, that the event to which the Order relates cannot be held otherwise than on a road. Access for pedestrians; and dismounted cyclists will be maintained under the direction of a marshal. Access for residents will be maintained under the direction of a marshal from the southern end of the temporary closure. Vehicular traffic will be diverted via A246 Epsom Road, A25 Epsom Road, A25 Shere Road and C45 Combe Lane. The Order will come into effect on 07 September 2025, for a period of 1 day and is anticipated to apply from 6am until 6pm but the prohibitions will only be operative while the relevant traffic signs are displayed. The Broadway (D6908) Thames Ditton Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of The Broadway (D6908) Thames Ditton as extends from a point in line with the common boundary between property No.07 and No.08 The Broadway to its junction with (A309) Hampton Court Way. Alternative Route: (A309) Hampton Court Way, and (D6908) The Broadway, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate installation of a new EV charger for, or on behalf of Nexus Utilities Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 01 September 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access is affected by this closure.
Dawney Hill (A324) Pirbright Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Dawney Hill (A324) Pirbright as extends from its junction with (D44) Bisley Camp Road to its junction with (B3012) Gole Road; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in the Borough of Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.8) 2024” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice.
Alternative Route: (A324) Dawney Hill, (A324) The Green, (A324) Guildford Road, (A324) Aldershot Road, (A324) Pirbright Road, (A323) Guildford Road, (A323) Aldershot Road, Holly Lane, (A322) Worplesdon Road, (A322) Rickford, (A322) Bagshot Road, and (A324) Connaught Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate bridge inspection works for, or on behalf of Network Rail. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night, between the hours of 10pm and 6am, during the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 03 September 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists, via the marshalls on site. All other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the diversion route. No sole access is affected by this closure.
Westbrook Road (D5421) Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic from entering or proceeding in that length of Westbrook Road (D5421) Godalming that is crossed under the bridge known as “Westbrook Road (17/32) and for a distance of 15 metres either side. This Order is required to facilitate detailed bridge inspection works for, or on behalf of Network Rail. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 10 nights, between the hours of 10pm and 6am, during the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 01 September 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. There is no alternative route for this closure. No sole access is affected by this closure.
A244 Claremont Lane/A244 Copsem Lane/ C158 Milbourne Lane, Esher Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 20 August 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Alternative Route 1 (Main diversion/Copsem Lane) – A244 Copsem Lane, A244 Warren Lane, A244 High Street, A244 Leatherhead Road, A244 Oxshott Road, C131 Oaklawn Road, A245 Woodlands Road, A245 Woodlands Lane, A245 Stoke Road, A245 Mill Road, A245 High Street, A245 Between Streets, A307 Portsmouth Road, A307 High Street, A244 Church Street (clockwise only due to no right turn), A3009 Esher Green (clockwise only due to no right turn), A307 High Street and A244 Claremont Lane; Alternative Route 2 (Traffic from Milbourne Lane) – C158 Milbourne Lane, D6835 Littleworth Road, A309 Kingston Bypass, A309 Scilly Isles roundabout, A307 Portsmouth Road, A307 High Street, then either turn into A244 Claremont Lane for north of closure or follow main diversion to get to south of Copsem Lane closure; Alternative Route 3 (Traffic for Milbourne Lane) – follow main diversion then head north on A307 High Street, A309 Scilly Isle roundabout, A309 Kingston Bypass eastbound, About turn at Claygate Lane roundabout, A309 Kingston Bypass westbound, D6835 Littleworth Road and C158 Milbourne Lane.
Schedule
1. that length of A244 Claremont Lane and A244 Copsem Lane, Esher which extends from the junction with Charlotte Court to a point 10m south of Haymeads Drive;
2. that length of Milbourne Lane, Esher which extends from its junction with Claremont Lane and Copsem Lane to a point 20m in an easterly direction.
D3010 Alwyns Lane, Chertsey Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 6 August 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3010 Alwyns Lane, Chertsey from its junction with Windsor Street westwards to the western property boundary line of No.45 Grove Road. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway resurfacing works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 14 August 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the
temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Alternative Route – B375 Windsor Street, B375 St Ann’s Road and D3011 Grove Road.
D6851 Sandy Lane, Cobham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 6 August 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D6851 Sandy Lane, Cobham which extends from its junction with Miles Lane to its junction with Copsem Lane. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 11 August 2025. It is anticipated that the road closure will be in force 24 hours per day. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of roads specified or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Alternative Route – A244 Warren Lane, D6861 Steels Lane, D6864 Blundel Lane, A245 Stoke Road, C157 Fairmile Lane and D6858 Miles Lane
Kingpost Parade (D4012) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 1 August 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Kingpost Parade (D4012) Guildford as extends from its junction with London Road (A3100) to its junction with Barton Place (D4012).
Alternative Route – A3100 (London Road).
This Order is required to enable Nexus Utilties Ltd to facilitate a new EV charger connection and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 18 August 2025 for 4 days, between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents and pedestrians will be maintained at all times.
Plaistow Road (C33) Dunsfold Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 06 August 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Plaistow Road (C33) Dunsfold as extends from its junction with (D161) Fisher Lane to its junction with the county boundary line between Surrey County Council and West Sussex County Council.
Alternative Route: Dunsfold Road, Shillinglee Road, (A283) Cripplecrutch Hill, (A283) Petworth Road, The Green, Pickhurst Road, High Street Green, Chiddingfold Road, and Plaistow Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate tree and vegetation management works for, or on behalf of SSEN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 19 August 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
