THE KINGSTON UPON HULL CITY COUNCIL

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025 

WILBERFORCE DRIVE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along

Wilberforce Drive, the right hand turn lane at the junction with George Street, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during inspection works of the utility pipework.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will take effect on 20th August 2025 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 8am and 4pm commencing 20th August 2025 until 1st September 2025.

TOWN POLICE CLAUSES ACT 1847 ORDER FOR THE PREVENTION OF OBSTRUCTION IN STREETS FLINTON GROVE, KINGSTON UPON HULL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 6th August 2025, the Kingston upon Hull City Council made an Order under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 for the purpose of preventing obstructions in the length of streets in the City of Kingston upon Hull hereinafter mentioned for the safety of passengers using the bus service for the Coldplay concert being held at the Sewell Group Craven Park Stadium, from 8am on the 18th August 2025 until 1am on 20th August 2025.

The Order:-
(a) prohibits any person (except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform) from driving, riding or propelling any vehicle or causing or permitting any vehicle to wait in or on that length of Flinton Grove from Preston Road to St John’s Grove, and no waiting or stopping on Marfleet Avenue, between the A63 and Marfleet Lane, between 8am on the 18th August 2025 until 1am on 20th August 2025.

(b) requires any person directed or permitted by a police constable in uniform to drive, ride or propel a vehicle or to cause or permit a vehicle to wait on or in the said length of street during the said hours on the said day to obey the directions of the said police constable and of any other police constable in uniform, and

(c) requires all persons present in the said length of street during the said hours on the said day to comply with the directions of any police constable in uniform.

The purpose of these closures is to ensure the safety of passengers using the bus service to attend the Coldplay concert being held at the Sewell Group Craven Park Stadium.

The Order does not apply to fire brigade vehicles, ambulance and police vehicles.

The penalty for an infringement of the Order is a fine upon conviction not exceeding Four hundred pounds.

A copy of the said Order is available for inspection during normal office hours at the Reception Office at the Guildhall, Kingston upon Hull.
