What is happening?

NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
ASKHAM FOOTPATH NO.9 DIVERSION ORDER 2025

The above Order, made on Friday 1st August 2025, under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert: Askham Footpath No.9 commencing from a point, SK 7399 7588, at the junction with Askham Footpath No. 3 and proceeding for a distance of approximately 412 metres in a generally easterly direction to a point, SK 7439 7580, then proceeding for a distance of approximately 90 metres in a generally northerly direction to a point, SK 7441 7587, at the junction with Upton Road on a grass and earth surface of a field edge path and having a width of 1.5 metres throughout the whole of its length as shown on the displayed Map.

A copy of the Order, Order Map and Statement of Reasons may be seen free of charge at my Office at the address below between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.30 pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive by prior arrangement or can be sent out by email on request Countryside.Access@nottscc.gov.uk.

The documents will also be available to view at the offices of Bassetlaw District Council, Retford Town Hall, 17B The Square, Retford, Notts, DN22 6DE, and also at Retford Public Library, Churchgate, Retford, Notts, DN22 6PE, during their respective normal opening hours until Thursday 4th September 2025.

Any representations about or objections to the Order must be received by the Countryside Access Team at the address given below not later than Thursday 4th September 2025. Please state the grounds on which they are made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Nottinghamshire County Council may themselves confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with it.
