ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Section 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Station Road, Flax Bourton, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming Into Force: 27 September 2025

Ref: SW25.26-114

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out jetting and cleaning works of existing culvert. This order will become operative on the 27 September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration between 10pm and 6am. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Rodney Road, Backwell, North Somerset

Temporary No Waiting or Loading Restriction Order 2025

Date coming Into Force: 15 September 2025

Ref: SW25.26-127

Will be to restrict, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works construction vehicles and public transport vehicles picking up and dropping off passengers, as works permit.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Taylor Wimpey to aid construction vehicles to access new development site. This order will become operative on the 15 September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 108 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs and cones will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule – No Waiting or Loading on the left-hand side of Rodney Road for a distance of 360m from the junction with the A370 during the times of 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 1pm on Saturday. Alternative routes – see Causeway one. Network map: www.n-somerset.gov.uk/roadworks

Final Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, has made an order the effect of which:

Barrow Street, Barrow Gurney, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists

Date coming into force: 18 August 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order was required because of highway drainage maintenance works and will become operative on 18 August 2025, anticipated to be of 5 days. The closure will be 24 hours a day. The maximum period for the closures is eighteen months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Schedule – Barrow Street, Barrow Gurney from the junction with School Lane to the junction with Hobbs Lane. Alternative routes – Barrow Street, Bridgwater Road, Colliters Way, Long Ashton By-pass, Clevedon Road, Main Road and vice-versa

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming Into Force: 18 August 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by National Grid to erect new pole. This order will become operative on the 18 August 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming Into Force: 18 August 2025

Ref: SW25.26-045

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to lay ducting and footway box. This order will become operative on the 18 August 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 14 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming Into Force: 21 August 2025

Ref: SW25.26-046

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities to replace temporary reinstatement. This order will become operative on the 21 August 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to provide service. This order will become operative on the 29 September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30am. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
