New Alresford, Temporary Road Closures Due To Gas Works

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES - SUN LANE, HAIG ROAD & NURSERY ROAD, NEW ALRESFORD, WINCHESTER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.

ROADS TO BE CLOSED:

1. Sun Lane between its junction with B3047 Bishops Sutton Road and a point approximately 40 Metres South of its junction with Langtons Court.

2. Haig Road between its junction with Sun Lane and the roads termination.

3. Nursery Road between its junction with Sun Lane and a point approximately 40 Metres West of said junction.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Tichborne Down, B3046, B3047

DURATION OF ORDER: from 18th August 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closures will be required for no longer than 6 months, and in operation for 24 hours a day).

The road closures have been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for I & G Contractors Ltd to carry out gas main replacement works on behalf of SGN. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order please contact: CUSTOMER@SGN.CO.UK

I & G Contractors Ltd will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
