Somerset - Variation of On-Street and Car Park Charges

What is happening?

SOMERSET COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - NOTICE OF VARIATION OF ON STREET & CAR PARK CHARGES

NOTICE is hereby given that the Somerset Council (as successor authority to the authorities that made the Orders set out below), in exercise of its powers under s35C, s31(1) and s31(3) in relation to off-street parking and its powers under s45 and s46A in relation to on-street parking of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), and in accordance with Regulation 25 of the Local Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 shall vary the Orders set out below to amend the charges for on and off street parking as set out in those Orders. This amendment shall take effect from the 28th day of August 2025.

Orders Affected

The County of Somerset Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping, Waiting, Loading and Unloading and On-Street Parking Sedgemoor Order 2012 (as amended)

The Sedgemoor District Council (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2013 (as amended)

The Sedgemoor District Council (Off-Street Parking Places) Variation Order 2023
